Akasha Physio & Yoga (previously Coolum Wholistic Physiotherapy & Acupuncture) is run by Sarah Korzeba, a qualified yoga teacher who holds regular weekly yoga classes in Coolum and Mudjimba. She also provides inpatient physiotherapy at Selangor Private Hospital, Nambour, assisting patients with medical conditions and post surgical recovery. Sarah also has expertise with pre and postnatal recovery and respiratory conditions which she is able to offer you.
A love of fitness and nature takes Sarah outdoors as often as possible. Furthermore Sarah has an interest in nutrition via which she enjoys exploring healthier ways to aid vitality and recovery. She welcomes new experiences by enjoying other cultures through travel whenever possible.
Sarah has been practising as a physiotherapist since graduating in 1988. She has a passion for health and fitness, and is committed to assisting you reach optimal health by using a thorough and wholistic approach, with a focus on quality hands-on treatment, sound clinical reasoning and differential diagnostic skills.
As a Physiotherapist, Sarah has completed postgraduate qualifications in Manipulative Physiotherapy, Myofascial Therapy, Acupuncture for Musculoskeletal conditions and postgraduate research studies into core stability. Part of this time was spent teaching at The University of Melbourne, several TAFE fitness courses across Melbourne, and running a small clinic at Monash University. Extensive experience in gyms (as a gym instructor, Personal Trainer, Pilates and Fitball instructor) has provided Sarah with a strong background in fitness. She is perfectly skilled to assist her patients to bridge the gap between "rooms treatment" into full work condition and their preferred leisure/fitness pursuits.
Sarah's long held recognition of the valuable connection between mind and body sparked an interest dedicated to linking the art of healing with sound scientific knowledge.... exploring "East meets West" philosophies.... to take the best of both worlds and bring you an integrated approach. The completion of Yoga Teaching qualifications in 2011 has been an exciting addition to this journey with regular weekly yoga classes in Coolum and Mudjimba.
